The Rotary Club of Colombo proudly shares highlights from the opening of the new children’s playground at Udabadalawe Sudharshana National School, held on 17th September 2025 This initiative was delivered in partnership with our Australian donor clubs the Rotary Club of Kensington/Flemington and the Rotary Club of Nunawading — together with our local partner Rotary Club of Kurunegala, strengthening our shared commitment to childcentred community development.
Sustainability is ensured through a decentralised model where each partner school and Rotary Club oversees installation, maintenance, and longterm care. Built with durable, weatherresistant materials and integrated into daily school activities, the playground will provide continuous benefit to children. With additional sets ready for future allocation, the project continues to expand its impact across multiple communities.
